Their career would take off (and peak) in 1967 with singer Grace Slick fronting the band, but in 1966 they recorded with Signe Toly Anderson on lead/backing vocals. She left the group in October 1966 when she was heavily pregnant.
Sadly, both Signe Toly Anderson and Paul Kantner, the Jefferson Airplane singer/songwriter/ guitarist, died on the same day in early 2016, just short of the 50th anniversary of the band's first release.
